Marcus Neuenschwander, known as “Soneca” is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt 3rd Degree under the legendary Aldo “Caveirinha” Januário from Gracie Barra.

Marcus started training at the age of 13 at the Gracie Barra “Caveirinha” in Belo Horizonte, Brazil alongside names such as Rafael dos Anjos (Former UFC lightweight champ), Igor Araújo, Phillipe Della Monica, Maycon Carvalho, and others to become the first generation of Black Belts formed by Master “Caveirinha” in Brazil.

Very accomplished in his competition and instructional career, in 2016 Professor Marcus was nominated President of the CJJF association in Brazil and Europe and has since helped CJJF on its worldwide expansion leading to more than 45 gyms in 7 different countries.

Wherever he goes Professor Marcus is known as a passionate teacher and an ambassador of the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle. Specializing in the development of children, Professor Marcus has helped make CJJF one of the most recognized academy’s in the world for kids with thousands training under the same program and guidance.
